I've never been one of those people who says, "Oh, it's just the Internet. It's not real." Especially as a way of giving people a pass for bad behavior, especially when that behavior skirts or even breaks the law.
Already, enough people in non-Internet life say, "Oh, it's no big deal," or "I don't want to cause a fuss" when someone else is violating their right to live free of harassment, threats or violent behavior. There's a reason such behavior is illegal. If your own say-so won't make someone else leave you alone, you've got backup. You have a right to use it.
I was reminded recently that, occasionally, people's online behavior can go well beyond the pale. There's no reason to excuse it simply because that behavior is communicated in pixels instead of sound waves.

Do you know anyone using the Wii Fit to actually get more fit? Or is it just another home exercise gadget that's fun for a day or two and then gathers dust?
